Redesign a City
Concept work in redesigning my home city of Waterloo and the surrounding region. Walking around town you notice that individual neighbourhoods may have unique branding, but the marketing and branding from area to area is ununified. What I wanted to do was unify the regions using similar environmental signage and visuals. This way there would be a sense of unique identity per area but with an overall unifying application of graphics. Continue reading…

A bit of Britain…
This June a friend and I are flying across the pond into London, England. Besides being a complete tourist I’ll have my eye out for anything that suits my fancy. Take this sample of English stamps for instance. While I’m certainly not a collector, I cant help but pick these sorts of things up at a flea market. I’ll be looking out for other paper ephemera and the like during the trip too. Be sure to check out my Portfolio site while I’m gone, and don’t be afraid to contact my email or social pages.
Portfolio Site
My older portfolio site is still up and running. Enjoy !
( I’ll be retiring this soon and building a new site… After all, I have many more projects to be shown. )
This WordPress blog has updated pictures and is generally more current than my previous site. I’ll let the world know when my new site launches. I’m looking for something simple; as is my way.
Pigeon Branding + Design
This week marks the start of my short stay at Pigeon Branding + Design in Oakville as a graphic design placement. Along with two friends and fellow designers, we are committed to immersing ourselves into a new world. A professional world. Only a few days in and I can see myself working in such an environment for real. Pigeon has numerous big name clients and my friends and I get to handle some of their design work, a big thrill for us. Among those clients, Pigeon designs for Tim Hortons, Kraft Foods and Life Brand for Shoppers Drug Mart, just to name a few. With a few weeks of work still ahead I am looking forward to continuing down this path and onto graduation in April. Opportunities multiply as they are taken (Sun Tzu) and I am certainly glad I took this one. March 2012
Quick Interview on FlyerHeroes.com
Quick interview I was asked to do for some folks over at flyerheroes.com. It’s great to see that this young team is so involved in supporting a variety of designers on their site. FlyerHeroes.com: Designer interviews, free graphics/templates, nice people. Give ‘er a go.
